The Gonstead Chiropractic sytem is thorough, complete and specific in both how it analyses and how it treats the spine and other joints. The treatment involves correcting only specific problem areas we call subluxations. As a Gonstead chiropractor I locate subluxations in your spine using five methods:

3. Static palpation
4. Motion palpation

After a complete analysis the appropriate Gonstead adjustment is ready to be delivered. A Gonstead style adjustment utilises a small amount of force to correct the subluxation. This method accurately targets only affected joints thus allowing healthy joints to remain undisturbed. Great care is taken to ensure the most safe and comfortable adjustment possible using no twistingor rotation. This lack of twisting or rotation allows Gonstead chiropractors to treat even acute patients so they can be on the road to recovery sooner. By correcting the subluxation, the muscles surrounding the joint relax and pain, discomfort or other problems associated with the locked joint are relieved. The adjustment also ensures the nervous system is working to its optimal potential.
